Do you see what I see?

It's a reindeer. Made by my little friend Quinn.

Today I stopped by my friend Diana's to drop off some Christmas gifts. She was preparing food for her Christmas dinner and the house smelled fantastic...she had roasted a huge pork loin with apples, vegetables and herbs. Beautiful.

In the corner was a couple dozen of these darling cupcakes made by Diana's daughter Quinn. Chocolate cupcake, vanilla frosting with sprinkles, marshmallow eyes, gumdrop nose, M&M mouth and pretzel antlers. There were also vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting reindeer faces. All were decorated slightly different to make them each unique.

Quinn gave me this one. So cute, so tasty. Loved it!

Five Guys

Oh yeah...almost forgot. Had a fantastic burger on Friday...courtesy of my co-worker Jerrick. Said he was craving a Five Guys Burger which I knew nothing about. Guess they're big back in D.C.

Well...it was excellent. Kind of like an In-n-Out Burger with the fresh-never-frozen principle and quality ingredients. Nice, juicy, messy burger. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger which comes with two (!) meat patties, slobbered in cheese, bacon and grilled onions...and, of course, I had to get the Cajun fries served in a cup...snappy! Tasty stuff it is. Will definitely be getting that baby again...and again...

Perfectionism.

Yes...perfectionism. Have thought about starting a blog. Have encouraged others to start blogs. Have told others they need to post more frequently to the blogs they have started because I (and others) really enjoy their thoughts. Have now progressed to starting my own blog with the hope that I'll practice some photography and cooking. But, what is the 'best' blog site out there? If I start a blog now, will I wish had started it with another blog website? Will I regret that I didn't spend more time researching for the best blog website? AHHHHHHHHH! Just do it!

Okay. So...what layout really expresses 'me'? What color should I use...for the background, the fonts, on and on. More decisions. Delay of posting. What do I call it? Why am I doing it? If I change my mind somewhere down the road ("if"?) will I be able to change the blog name? O h m y g o o d n e s s ! Yeah. Perfectionism. Must be absolutely perfect.

Alright...jumpin' out there. Forget about perfect. That is part of the reason behind this blog...to get past perfectionism. Move on. Going with beige for now. Really? Beige? Glad that all those fifty different layouts, colors and fonts I struggled over ended up in a plain header with beige background. Okay...forcing myself to just do something. Anything. I can change it later . . . r i g h t ? I know I'll be changing it later. (I've already gone back and edited this posting!!) :)
